The Depot received the East Jordan Public School’s “Champions for Children” award this year. We are honored to receive this award and share it with all the volunteers who have given thousands of hours to make The Depot possible.

Meet our Champion for Children Award Winner – The Depot! An average of 60 children per week visit this nurturing, safe space where they may relax, connect, and enjoy activities including sports in the gym, playing pool, coloring, and playing cards and games. They also learn basic skills and build confidence through classes. Over 57 volunteers give generously of their time to teach, inspire, mentor, simply listen, and share their life experiences. This award was accepted at The Extravaganza by Matt Hamilton, Gary Roberts, Barb Worgess and Pete Elliott.
